Ranchi, Sep 17 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said a coalition government headed by an Indpendent MLA completing one year in office is a big success.

He hoped that the UPA government would complete its remaining tenure despite infighting.

Taking to reporters at his official residence here on the eve of completing one year, Mr Koda's attention was drawn to the revolt triggered by some leaders of the ruling allies.

''It is part of a coalition government,'' he remarked.

''Sabko saath leke jana hain''(we will have to march together), he said and added that despite 'so mony hiccups' the completion of one year should be seen as a big success.

He mentioned approval of various developmental schemes, signing of MoUs for power plants, decline in school dropout rate, new scheme for rural development, creation of two districts and clearance of payment of arrears for minority school teachers as some of his government's achievements.

For more than half the past year the Chief Minister was seen appeasing a few of his rebellious ministers and manoeuvring the complicated corridors of power.

On many occasions he had to face stiff criticism from allies like the Congress, RJD and Left parties on policy issues.
