''It is a matter of utmost concern that America's interference and pressure on India is increasing day by day. Its next target is Iran. The US wants India and Pakistan to stand eyeball-to-eyeball with Iran,'' Mr Yadav said before leaving for SP's state executive meet here.

''Besides the ever-mushrooming inflation, unemployment, poverty, a constant threat looms large on country's security and autonomy.

The foreign policy of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government is US-oriented,'' the former defence minister maintained.
