HC directs conduct of election in Govt school

Kochi, Sep 17 (UNI) A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court comprising Chief Justice H L Dattu and Justice K T Sankaran today directed the Registrar of Societies to conduct Pariyaram election at Kannur town Government Higher Secondary School.

The court directed this while disposing a writ appeal filed by the Societies former Chairman M V Raghavna, who sought shifting of the venue of the election to the office of the Director, Board of Society scheduled to be held on September 23.

The Advocate General C P Sudhakara Prasad, today submitted before the Court that they have decided to conduct the election at Kannur town school itself.

Earlier, it was decided to conduct the election in a remote place at Cheruthazham.
