Grandma kills herself after setting grandson on fire

Barrackpore, Sep 17 (UNI) A 48-year-old grand mother allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling after setting fire on her 20-month-old grand son tonight following a scuffle with the daughter-in-law at Malanchapara in North 24 Parganas.

The severely burnt child, however, was rushed by the neighbours to the R G Kar hospital where his condition was critical.

Police recovered the body of Sikha Sarkar, who was hanging from the ceiling of her room.
