Five Bangladeshis remanded to police custody

Bangaon, Sep 17 (UNI) A local court in North 24-Parganas district today remanded five Bangladeshi nationals arrested from Petrapol yesterday in police custody to facilitate further investigation about the accused and their possible involvement with the ultras.

Police today produced Abdul Majid and four others before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrtate Dibyendu Narayan Mitra, who remanded the accused for ten days to police custody, court sources said.

The accused were apprehended by the Customs at Petrapol, when they were crossing the border. The Customs seized at least 50 visas and three SIM cards possessed by them. The visas were fake. The other accused were Safiqul Hossain, Bakhtiar Hossain, Md. Yunus and Safiul Islam.
