Five Bangladeshi nationals with fake documents arrested

Bangaon, Sep 16 (UNI) Custom officials today apprehended altogether five Bangladeshi nationals and confiscated at least fifty fake visas along with Bangladeshi passports from their possession while they were crossing from across Bangladesh through Petrapol corridor in North 24 Parganas.

The Bangladeshis were later handed over to police under Bangaon police station tonight, Customs officials said.

''Though passports with visas of the five accused seemed to be in order, the other accused, identified as Abdul Majid, was carrying fake visas. He was leading the five member team, the officials said.

Custom officials also seized a piece of Bangaldeshi SIM card and a pair of Indian SIM cards from their possession.

Both, Custom officials and Police had started interrogating the arrested Bangladeshi nationals.
