Bhajan Lal, Chander Mohan absent in Haryana Assembly
Chandigarh, Sep 17 (UNI) Disgruntled Congress leader Bhajan Lal, who was recently in the news along with his son and suspended party MP Kuldeep Bishnoi for their reported intentions to float a new party, was conspicuous by his absence in the Haryana Assembly on the opening day of its session here today.
Interestingly, Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan, younger son of Mr Bhajan Lal, was also not present in the House.
While Mr Bishnoi has been in the forefront in criticising the party high command and the Congress government in the state for sidelining his father, Mr Mohan has so far been keeping a distance from the family's alleged anti-party activities.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, who had kept away from the Assembly for about two years due to health reasons before making an appearance in the budget session this year, was present in the House.
