Another infiltration bid foiled, three militants killed in J&K

Srinagar, Sep 17 (UNI) Troops foiled yet another infiltration bid by killing three heavily armed militants in the Mechal sector today.

A defence spokesman said troops guarding the border, noticed a group of militants sneaking into this side from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). When challenged they opened fire.

In the ensuing encounter three militants were killed. Four AK-47 Rifles, one Pistol and a large quantity of ammunition were recovered from the site. Further search of the area was in progress as last report came in.

This was the third infiltration bid during the past two weeks.
