Jaipur, Sep 17 (UNI) About a dozen ABVP activists were detained by the police today for disrupting a seminar being addressed by CPM polit bureau member and Rajya Sabha MP Brinda Karat.

The activists were protesting against the CPM's alleged anti-Hindu stand.

The seminar on Indo-US nuclear deal was organised at Rajasthan College as part of the golden jubilee and platinum jubilee celebrations of the college and the Rajasthan University respectively.

As the function was about to begin, about a dozen ABVP activists, who had already taken positions in the conference hall, started shouting slogans against Ms Karat and tried to rush to the dais.

The incident took the organisers by surprise and the police had to remove the activists from the hall. They were arrested and let off after some time.
