TN CM wishes Prime Minister speedy recovery

Chennai, Sep 16 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today wished Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who underwent a minor surgery yesterday, a speedy recovery.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, a copy of which was released to the media here, he said ''I came to know that you are convalescing after undergoing a surgery. I wish you a very speedy recovery''.

Dr Singh underwent a surgery at the AIIMS in New Delhi yesterday.

In another letter to Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Mr Karunanidhi greeted him on his 63rd birthday today.

''My sincere birthday greetings to you. I wish you many more years of fruitful service to our country'', he said in the letter.
