Company selling cell phones with fake brand names busted

Nawada, Sep 16 (UNI) A company, manufacturing mobile phones with fake brand names, was busted and phones worth Rs five lakh were seized during a raid at a private hotel on station road under town police station area here.

Police said, on a tip-off they raided the hotel premises where the company was engaged in manufacturing fake cell phones. The fake phones manufactured by the company were being sold in open market under brand names of Indian Oil, HP, Servo and Castrol.

The labels of these companies were also recovered during the raid.

The owner of the company Sudhir Gupta was absconding and raid was on to nab him, police said.
