Yercaud, Tamil Nadu, Sep 15 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi today did not attach too much significance to AIADMK and BJP coming together in the wake of development of cracks in the newly-formed UNPA.

''If it happens, it's no surprise'', Mr Karunanidhi said, when asked in a press conference about reports that BJP and AIADMK are coming together.

Asked about the possibility of a mid-term poll to the Lok Sabha, he said ''some people are talking like that. Whether there will be a mid-term poll or not, there should be peace in Parliament''.

To a question, Mr Karunanidhi said the proposed Salem Railway Zone would be formed soon.

''I am happy'', was the cryptic reply from the Chief Minister when his attention was drawn to the fact that the DMDK of actor- turned-politician Vijayakanth filing case against Tamil Nadu Agriculture Miniser Veerapandi Arumugham for staging a rail roko agitation on the Salem Railway division issue.

Mr Karunanidhi said the tourist spot of Yercaud would be developed on the lines of Udhagamandalam and Kodaikanal.
