South-West Monsoon active over Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 15 (UNI) The South-West Monsoon has been vigour over Kerala while rain occurred at many places in Lakshadweep.
Enamakkal received the maximum rainfall of 11 cm followed by Vaikom eight cm, local weather office said here today.
The other chief amount of rainfalls recorded in cm were Piravam and Thiruvalla seven each, Aluva and Paravur six each, Kochi airpot, Kumarakam, Kunnamkulam, Mankompu, Thodupuzha and Tritala five each.
Rain or thunder showers would occur in most places in the state and at a few placs in the Union Territory, it said.
Isolated heavy rain was likely to occur in Kerala. Strong onshore wind from Westerly direction with speed occasionly reaching 45-55 kmph was likely along off Kerala coast during the next 48 hours.
