President calls up Dr Singh, wishes him a speedy recovery

New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil today called up Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who underwent surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and enquired about his health.

In the brief conversation, Mrs Patil wished Dr Singh a speedy recovery, a Rashtrapati Bhawan spokeperson said.

The Prime Minister had undergone a trans-urethral resection of the Prostate gland to treat Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy of the Prostate (benign enlargement of the prostate gland) and is now convalescing.
