Post office to take up Micro-banking activities in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 15 (UNI) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has launched a pilot project under which selected post offices in Meghalaya will disburse credit to self-help groups.

A press release here today said the pilot project, the second one in the country after Tamil Nadu, was launched yesterday.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in this regard has been signed by NABARD General Manager J.G.Menon and Post Master General of the Northeastern region M.Iawphniaw.

UNI
