Over 30 feared drowned as bus plunges into well

Belgaum, Sep 15 (UNI) In a tragic incident, more than 30 people were feared drowned when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus carrying them plunged into a well at Athani Taluk in Belgaum district this morning.

Police said nine bodies had been recovered so far.

Twelve injured people, who were rescued, had been admitted to various hospitals.

The bus was proceeding to Kirangi from Athani when the accident occurred. Rescue operations were on, police added.
