Ganeshotsav begins amid enthusiasm in Nagpur

Nagpur, Sep 15 (UNI) The ten-day Ganesh festival began amid traditional fervour and enthusiasm here today.

There are 890 ''mandals (public organisations)'' in the city which have installed Ganesh idols, police sources said.

The police have made tight security arrangements in the city, especially in view of the recent bomb blasts in Hyderabad.

Additional men, including those from the Home Guards and the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), have been deployed to maintain law and order during the festival.
