Bulgarian PM Stanishev leaves for Agra

for
Agra
after
winding
up
his
two-day
visit
to
the
city.
Mr Stanishev, accompanied by an 80-member delegation, left by a special aircraft from the Chennai old airport at 1050 hrs.
The visiting dignitary was seen off, among others, by Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Minister Poongothai, Chief Secretary L K Tripathy and DGP P Rajendran.
Mr Stanishev visited the Vestas Wind Power plant at Poonamallee and met Governor S S Barnala at the Raj Bhavan last evening. He visited the Tidel Park here this morning, before emplaning for Agra.
The first Bulgarian Prime Minister to visit an Asian country since 1974, Mr Stanishev, who was here as part of his six-day official visit to the country, had expressed his Government's willingness to expand trade and military ties with India.
