Brahmotsavams: CM presents silk vastrams to temple

Tirumala, Sep 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today presented a pair of silk 'vastrams' to presiding deity Lord Venkateswara, as part of the nine-day Brahmotsavams.

As per the customs, the 'sacred gifts' from the government would be used to adorn the deity during 'Garuda Seva', the main event on the fifth day of Brahmotsavams, on September 19.

Dr Reddy handed over the vastrams to the Temple Chief Priest Ramana Deckshutulu.
