'Brahmotsavam' begins at Tirumala

Tirumala, Sep 15: The nine-day-long 'Brahmotsavam' began at Lord Venkateswara temple here today.

The sacred flag was ceremoniously hoisted atop the ''Dwajasthambham'' to mark the commencement of the festival.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Information and Public Relations Minister Ramanarayana Reddy and Health Education Minister Galla Aruna Kumar participated in the ceremonial function.
