Aiyar inaugurates SNDP Gen Secy's 'sapthati' celebrations

Alappuzha, Sep 15 (UNI) Union Panchayati Raj Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar today inaugurated the 'sapthati' celebrations of Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan here.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Aiyar said, ''Mr Natesan was an undeniable force in the political and social set-up of Kerala.'' Praising the contributions of Mr Natesan, who turned 70 today, Mr Aiyar said his influence was visible on all spheres and had brought substantial change to the 'Ezhava' community.

He lauded the SNDP's micro-finance project.

''The ideology of Sree Narayana Guru is in the safe hands of Mr Natesan, Mr Aiyar said.
