UP orders probe into recovery of skeletons in Etawah

Lucknow, Sep 13 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has ordered a high level probe after the recovery of at least two human skeletons and some skulls from a well in Etawah district.

State Director General of Police(DGP) Vikram Singh said here today that the district police of Etawah have been directed to conduct DNA test of the skeletons and skull of the children from a well in Bhagwanpur under Jaswant Nagar police station area.

''We are going for medico-legal examination before charging the concerned policemen and people involved in the crime'', he said.

According to the DGP, on the interrogation of a criminal two skeletons were recovered from the well, who were murdered after kidnapping.

The skeletons were said to be of the two children who were kidnapped for ransom from Nargi police station in Ferozabad district in 1998.
