Two arrested in brick kiln owner murder case

Meerut, Sep 13 (UNI) The city police today said it has arrested two people for their alleged involvement in the murder of former councillor and brick kiln owner Rajiv Jaiswal.

Senior Superintendent of Police Jyoti Narayan produced the accused in a press conference. During police interrogation, both the accused, Neeraj and Gurvindra, accepted their involvement in the murder.

Mr Narayan told mediapersons that Jaiswal was killed on August 20 when he had gone to pick his children from a school in Saket.

While Mahendra Pradhan, Praveen Sharma, Watan and Gurvindra kept sitting in the car, the other two, Neeraj and Vishwas Chowdhary fired at Rajiv.

The SSP said the arrested criminals were associates of gangster Ajay Jadeja, presently locked up in the city jail, and killed the businessman at his behest.

The two criminals were arrested from Kila Parikshit Garh Marg on a tip-off .
