State to seek experts opinion on implementation of report
Bangalore, Sept 13 (UNI) State government is seeking the opinions of the experts in various fields for the effective implementation of the Nanjundappa Committee report for removing the regional imbalance in the state.
Speaking to newsmen after holding a meeting of experts on the implementation of the committee report Karnataka Planning Minister Mr Ramachandra Gowda informed that state govenrment has earmarked Rs 1571 crores solely for the development of backward regions in the state.
The committee has identified over 114 taluks in the state including Gulbarga, Chamarajanagar, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal and Bijapur districts.
