Reservation to tribals in TSP areas in direct recruitment

Jaipur, Sept 13 (UNI) The Rajasthan Government has decided to provide 45 per cent reservation to tribals and five per cent to Scheduled Castes in the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) areas under the SC/ST quota to all direct appointments except the Rajasthan State Services.

Earlier, the purview of reservation to the tribals from the TSP areas was confined to group I-VI class of employees.

A government spokesman said the decision was in tune with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's budget announcement this year.

The tribals from the southern districts of Dungarpur, Banswara, Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Sirohi will benefit from the decision, a spokesman of the governemnt said.
