Messe Munchen International (MMI) forms a subsidiary in India

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Messe Munchen International (MMI), the world's no 1 organiser of electronics trade fairs have formed a subsidiary in India.

MMI India will be holding their first exhibition, ElectronicIndia in Bangaluru International Exhibition Centre, BIEC, from September 2-5, 2008.

Speaking at a seminar here today, Mr Kurt Shraudy, Head of Business Unit New Technologies, MMI, ''ElectronicIndia is going to expand its leading position further for the electronics industry in India. MMI has been successful in the Indian market since 2000, and we succeeded into shaping the predecessor event into a trade fair with real national and international significance. We now have an optimum strategic starting point with the founding of MMI India.'' Another advantage for MMI is the location of Bangaluru with its new trade fair centre in the heart of the Indian IT and electronics industry, he added.

ElectronicIndia will present the complete range of electronics components, assemblies and materials as well as electronics production technologies.

The conferences will cover the hot topics of the industry and will focus on automotive, power supply and contract manufacturing.

It will be organised in cooperation with leading international associations such as the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Associations (ZVEI).

A highlight of the events programme will be the CEO Round Table, a panel discussion with CEOs from leading international companies, said, Manmeet Sabarwal, Managing Director, MMI India.

MMI, Munich Trade Fairs International Group, is one of the world's leading trade-fair companies. It organises around 40 trade fairs for capital and consumer goods, and key high-tech industries.

Each year over 30,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and over two million visitors from more than 200 countries take part in the events in Munich.

In addition, MMI organised trade fairs in Asia, Russia, the West Asia and South America. With five subsidiaries abroad -- in Europe, and in Asia-and with 66 foreign representatives serving 89 countries, MMI has a truly global network.
