Man arrested for trying to kill wild animals in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 13 (UNI) Wildlife officials arrested one person when he was trying to kill wild animals near the famed tourist resort of Sonamarg, about 86 km from here, police said today.

They said Mohammad Hussain Bajad, a resident of Mugli Kalakot, was arrested from the sanctuary premises at Thajwas near Sonamarg when he was trying to kill the wild animals.

One .22 gun, one knife, eight live cartridges and one torch were seized from his possession.

Police have registered a case in this regard.
