K'taka seeking experts opinion on 'Nanjundappa Committee' report

Bangalore, Sep 13 (UNI) The Karnataka Government is seeking the opinions of experts in various fields for effective implementation of the 'Nanjundappa Committee' report for removing the regional imbalance in the state.

Talking to newspersons after holding a meeting of experts here today, Planning Minister Ramachandra Gowda said that the state government had earmarked Rs 1,571 crore solely for the development of backward regions in the state.

The Committee had identified over 114 taluks in the state, including Gulbarga, Chamarajanagar, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal and Bijapur districts.
