HC admits a petitition relating to Merchinston Estate issue

Kochi, Sep 13 (UNI) A Division Bench of Kerala High Court today used notice to Managing Director, Southern Filed Ventures on a Public Interest Litigation by friends of environment, a Kochi based oraginisation, on land allotted to ISRO.

The Bench comprising Chief Justice H L Dattu and Justice K T Sankaran issued the notice.

The petitioner challneged the government order denotyfying the Merchinston Estate at Ponmudi, a part of which was sought to be sold to the Indian Space and Research Organisation (ISRO) for setting up the Indian Institute of Space Sceince and Techonology.
