Haryana Police reserves 10 per cent posts for women

Chandigarh, Sep 13 (UNI) Under its 'Women Empowerment Programme', the Haryana Police Department has earmarked 10 per cent reserved quota for women in all its police force recruitments.

Stating this here today, a police spokesman said the department had received 10,207 applications against 776 posts of women constables lying vacant in its women police force.

He said 5,335 applications had been received against 352 posts for general category while 4,872 applications had received against 424 posts for various reserved categories.

The department had established four recruitment centres at police lines of Yamunanagar, Bhiwani, Sonepat and Faridabad, he added.
