10 killed, 19 injured in two accidents in TN

Chennai, Sep 13 (UNI) Ten people were killed and 19 others were injured in two separate road accidents in Tamil Nadu since last night.

While six people were killed and 15 others injured when the tapioca-laden lorry in which they were travelling overturned at Venkatathanur near Tiruchirapalli last night, four people were killed and an equal number injured in an accident near Dharmapuri district early this morning.

A report from Tiruchirapalli said the injured were admitted to Thuraiyur government hospital.

The lorry was proceeding to Tammampatti from Pachamalaipudur when the accident occurred.

Meanwhile, reports received at the police headquarters here said four people were killed and four others injured when the Tata Sumo in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Adhiyamankottai police station limits at 0330 hrs.

The injured were admitted to Dharmapuri government hospital.
