Sugarmills of Basti division owe Rs 65 cr to farmers

Siddharthnagar, Sep 12 (UNI) The sugarmills of Basti division owe a hefty amount of Rs 65 crore to cane farmers.

This arrear is of the last crushing season, sources said today.

The highest due amount is Rs 27.10 crore on Babhnan sugarmill of Basti district.

Basti sugarmill and Walterganj sugarmill owe Rs 17.43 crore and Rs 10.57 crore respectively.

A Barabanki district mill owe Rs 1.68 crore and another mill of Siddharthnagar district owe Rs two crore to sugarcane farmers.

Khalilabad sugarmill owed Rs six crore.
