Sitaram to inaugurate national seminar on Sep 14

Shimla, Sep 12 (UNI) CPM leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechury will inaugurate a three-day national workshop here on September 14.

The seminar, titled National Integration and Multiple Indentifies: Dialectics of Inclusiveness and Exclusion in Indian Society, is being organised here by the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) along with Indian Council of Philosophical Research New Delhi.

Thirty-five participants from across the country, including Indian Council of Philosophical Research Chairman K Ramakrishana Rao, former Sahitya Akademi president U R Ananthamurthy, Member Planning B N Yugandhar, Centre for Study of Society and Secularism Chairman Asgar Ali Engineer, former Indian Ambassador to US and eminent economist Abid Hussain, economist and member Union Public Service Commission K S Chalam, former home secretary K Padamanabhiah, Director International Management Institute C S Venkaratnam, Middlebury College US William S Waldron, Member Administrative Reforms Commission V Ramachandran, and Professor of Philosophy, Delhi University Ashok Vohra are also taking part in the seminar.
