Expert Committee inspects damaged flyover in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Sep 12 (UNI) The five-member Expert Committee, constituted by the Andhra Pradesh Government, to go into the collapse of the under-construction flyover at Punjagutta here which left two people dead on Sunday last, inspected the site today.

The Committee, headed by the Roads and Buildings Chief Engineer Siva Reddy, conducted a thorough inspection and held discussions with the officials concerned.

The panel also looked into the quality aspect of the flyover as directed by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

The Government had asked the Committee to submit its report within three days. The Committee would record the statements of officials and the contractor, Gammon India Limited.
