Manipur: AR jawans nab five insurgents

Imphal, Sep 12: Five militants were nabbed from different areas of Manipur during the last 24 hours.

Acting on a specific information, troops of the Assam Rifles apprehended one cadre of People's Liberation Army (PLA) and handed over to local police.

In the other incident two militants along with 200 rounds of AK ammunition and 200 rounds of M-16 ammunition were arrested from Chandel district.

In the third incident, the jawans of the para military force captured two outlaws along with arms and ammunition. One 5.56 MM rifle, a magazine and five rounds of ammunition were recovered from them.
