Lucknow, Sep 11 (UNI) The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today sought details from the state government with regard to an application urging Chief Minister Mayawati to be made a party in an under-consideration petition relating to the razing of government bungalows in the posh Mall Avenue area of the capital city.

The court directed the UP government prosecutor to get directions of Ms Mayawati in this regard before September 18, the next hearing date.

A single-judge bench comprising Justice Vikramnath passed this order on an application filed by the Uttar Pradesh Janhit Sangathan.

The petition stated that, notwithstanding, having an office and residence on Kalidas Marg, Ms Mayawati had illegal possession of land in 13 A of Mall Avenue. Inspite of the Supreme Court and High Court orders, several houses were bulldozed in the name of security reasons.

The petition further expressed apprehension that four more bungalows could be demolished in the area, which it claimed was a contempt of court.
