According to the Manch, its activists will organise a three-hour ''rasta roko'' agitation here from 0800 hrs to 1100 hrs to protest the demolition of the bridge.
Alongside Mumbai, the agitation will also be organised in the neighbouring Navi Mumbai, Thane and Dombivali and Kalyan in the Thane district.
The decision to launch the agitation was taken at a meeting recently held at Rameshwaram more than 20,000 devotees, including a host of religious leaders participated in the Manch meeting.
The Manch claims that the protection of the 'ancient' bridge is not only associated with the religious sentiments, but also necessary for protection of the huge thorium deposits around it.
