Talking to newspersons here, the Minister said the check-in facility would be from Parade Grounds in Mysore road to Devanahalli and the state government was seeking the help of Urban Development Ministry to provide the land acquisition costs.
He said the government was proposing to improve the road links with the airport by taking the 365 outer ring road near the airport.
This would mean surrounding taluk towns like Dobbspet, Doddaballapur, Hoskote, Attibele, Anekal, Kanakapura, Ramanagar and Magadi would have an easy road access to the airport.
The State government has provided Rs 400 crore of field capital for the four-phase project. The airport would also have 46 radial roads, aggregating 1008 km, at the cost of Rs 850 crore, he added.
The Minister said to wipe out the delay in implementing the accident-prone stretch of Sakaleshpur-Shiradi section of the National Highway, the state government had requested the Centre to allow the projects to be executed by the state government. The tender awarding process for improving Bangalore-Nelamangala-Bellur Crossing was in an advanced stage.
The Bangalore-Nelamangala stretch, he said, would have four-lane elevated roads, while the Negalamangala-Bellur crossing would be six-lane road. Agency has been fixed for 80-km Bangalore-Mulbagal stretch at the cost of Rs 565 crore.
