Haryana State Rural Sports Tournament from Oct 24

Chandigarh, Sep 11 (UNI) The Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department has decided to organise Haryana State Rural Sports Tournament for boys under the age group of 16 at Narwana from October 24 to 26.

Stating this here today, a spokesman for the Sports Department said that as many as 102 boys under the age group of 16 years would participate in this tournament.

He said the events to be held in this tournament would be Archery, Athletics, Weight-Lifting, Wrestling, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Hockey, Volleyball and Football.

He said the selection of boy players for participation in the All India Rural Sports Competition for the year 2007-08 would be held during this tournament.
