Fair Lovely invites applications for award of scholarships

Mumbai, Sep 10 (UNI) Fair&Lovely Foundation, a CSR initiative by Fair&Lovely, has invited applications from candidates across India for its Scholarship 2007.

It offers a scholarship of up to Rs one lakh to young, financially-challenged girls, for graduate, post-graduate and studies in India.

Speaking to reporters here, Amrita Singh, winner of Fair Lovely Scholarship 2006, currently pursuing graduation in engineering, says, ''I owe my confidence and my achievement to this scholarship. Being an engineer is what I have always aspired for, and that aspiration is now being fulfilled through Fair&Lovely Foundation.'' ''Having lost my father at the age of 15, made university studies a distant dream for me. My mother roughed it out to make sure my academic pursuits did not suffer. Now in return, I would like to reward her for all the sacrifices she made for me. I can see that happening, thanks to Fair&Lovely Foundation,'' she added.
