Data retrieved from Kafeel's hard disc

Hyderabad, Sep 11: The Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL) has completed the analysis of data retrieved from the hard disc seized from the house of Bangalore-based Kafeel Ahmed, the Indian engineer suspected to be involved in the failed terror attack on the Glasgow airport on June 30.

According to official sources here, all the hidden and deleted data retrieved from the disc has been completely analysed on computer and stored in CDs. The capacity of the hard disc, which was brought to the APFSL on August 2 from Bangalore, was about 100 GB.

The analysed data would be submitted to Bangalore police, which was probing Kafeel's case, in two or three days. However, the sources were not ready to divulge the details about its analysis.

Three scientists, specialising in the computer data analysis, were assigned the job.

Kafeel (27) had suffered 90 per cent burns when he drove a burning Jeep into the Glasgow airport, a day after the attempted bombings in London. He died in a hospital in Scotland.

Kafeel's cousin Mohammed Haneef, who was arrested in Australia for his alleged involvement in the failed bombing, had been released and is currently in India.
