62 Punjab Police Inspectors to be promoted soon: DGP

Jalandhar, Sept 11 (UNI) Punjab goverment has decided to promote 62 Punjab Police Inspectors to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.

This was disclosed by DGP NPS Aulakh while talking to media persons here this evening after inspecting the Passing Out parade held at the Punjab Armed Training Centre.

Aa many as 549 recruits after completing thier basic training, passed out from the training centre today.

On presence of nearly 300 'police cats' in the state as former DGP S S Virk had mentioned, the DGP first refused to comment on the issue but then said that only Mr Virk could answer this.
