Young woman commits suicide with two children

Panipat, Sept 10 (UNI) A young house wife, along with her two children, allegedly committed suicide by setting herself and children ablaze in their house in Matloda town this morning.

Police took their bodies to local civil hospital for post mortem.

The deceased woman's brother Rajesh, who reached Matloda after receiving information, has alleged that his sister Suman and the children Mausam (4) and Nandini (2) were murdered by her in-laws and husband Ravinder, before being set on fire.

He also alleged that Suman used to be tortured and beaten by her husband, a junior engineer posted in Delhi and the matter was raised in the social panchayat many times in the past.

Her in-laws had disconnected their telephone connection to ensure that she could not contact her parents in Panipat, he claimed.

However, her father-in-law Dalip Singh had reportedly told the police that his son had left the house early morning for Delhi and he himself had gone to Panipat before Suman, along with her kids, committed suicide.

The police have not registered a case so far.
