Welfare Board for ex-Paramilitary Force personnel
Kolkata, Sep 10 (UNI) A Welfare and Rehabilitation Board(WARB) has been set up centrally for the personnel of all the Central Para Military Forces.
This was set up on the lines of the Ex-Service Men Board that had been set up to enable ex-servicemen earn a living instead depending on thier family members.
The WARB has been set up particularly for assistance of those, who have been medically boarded out, and the widows and dependants of those who have died in harness, said a press note.
The board would be chaired by one Director General from any of the CPMF on rotation. The vice-chairman would be the Additional DG of the same Force and the six Inspector General(Administration) of the six forces Assam Rifles, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the Shastra Suraksha Bal would be the members.
The medical facilities, 'prahari' canteen facilties, ration facilities and any possible support would be extended to these ex-CPMF personnel from these centres.
