TeamLease launches retail education and training programme

Mumbai, Sep 10 (UNI) Bangalore based, TeamLease Services Private Limited, India's largest staffing solutions firm, has announced the launch of its education and training program for the retail sector.

A certification programme, which combines theoretical and on-the-job learning, it has currently been initiated in select regions of Karnataka. TeamLease has tied up with Manipal Universal Learning of the Manipal Education Group to impart the training.

Candidates are sourced and assessed by TeamLease, and then brought down to Bangalore for residential training of two months.

The programme is inclusive of training, accommodation and food. The minimum qualification required for registering is higher secondary.

According to Rajesh A.R, Vice-President, TeamLease Services Private Limited, "In three years, the retail industry will need minimum 2.1 lakh customer associates. Objective of this training programme is to bridge the gap between skilled and semi-skilled manpower and huge demand in the retail sector''.
