Tata Indicom offers ILD calls at Rs 2/min on 'Talk World'

New Delhi, Sept 10 (UNI) Tata Teleservices today introduced a international long distance (ILD) plan 'Talk World' which offers international calls at as low as two rupees per minute.

The plan with a monthly rental of Rs 299, offers ILD call rates for Rs 2/minute for the US and Canada, Rs 4/min to Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia while Rs 7/min for Africa, West Asia and Gulf.

Tata Teleservices Circle Operating Officer (Delhi and NCR), Debashis Sur said, ''We are aiming at capitalising the largely untapped category of ILD calling segment in the mobile market.

With entry rental as low as Rs 299, it offers the customers freedom to call at their convenience.'' The scheme also offers travelers, the benefit of affordable long distance calling facility even while on roaming, he added.

The rates are applicable between 9 pm to 9 am on weekdays and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

At any other time on weekdays, the rates range from Rs 6.4/min to Rs 9.2/min for the above mentioned destinations, a statement said.

The company also offers the lowest local as well as national calling benefits across all India-One plans of competitors thus making it the most powerful STD/roaming plan available in the market, for customers seeking high NLD and roaming usage.

With a customer base of over 18 million, Tata Teleservices operates in 3,400 towns across 20 circles.
