Udupi, Sep 10 (UNI) Tha Bharatiya Janata Party would decide its future course of action on October 3, if Janata Dal(S) failed to honour its commitment on the issue of transfer of power, State BJP chief Mr Sadananda Gouda informed here today.

Speaking to newsmen here today Mr Sadananda Gouda, said that party would expect JD(S) to stick to its commitment on the transfer of power to BJP in the state, and added that party would chalk out its strategy if it dose not happen on October 3.

Mr Gouda informed that while there is no confusion on the choice of B S Yediyurappa as the party's candidate for the post of Chief Minister the political opponents were indulged in sowing seeds of uncertainty in frustration. "Mr B S Yediyurappa will take rein of power from the incumbent Mr H D Kumaraswamy as per the agreement reached between two 20 months ago" Mr Gouda said.

Referring to the statement of JD(S) national president and Former Prime Minister Mr H D Deve Gowda's intention to meet senior BJP leaders before handing over power Mr Sadananda Gouda described it as a welcome sign. " Mr Deve Gowda was free to express his concern on his party issues which were quite different from the issue of forming next government" he said.

Replying to questions the state BJP chief maintained that while his party was ready to face any challenges it was not in favour of imposing mid-term elections as it would burden the state exchequer.

About the local bodies elections the State BJP Chief expressed confidence that party would fare better and win majority seats.

The party would highlight the performance of the 19-month coalition rule in the state during the election campaign, he said.
