South West Monsoon active over Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 10 (UNI) The South West Monsoon has been active over Kerala and rain occurred at most places in Lakshadweep during the last 24 hours.
The local Met office here said Parambikkulam recorded the highest rainfall of 13 cm.
Nilampur, Punaloor and Konni received seven cm of rainfall each, followed by Koilandy and Thodupuzha with six cm each.
Kozhikode, Mannarkad, Kozha, Neyyattinkara, Agathi and Amini got four cm of rains.
Heavy rains were likely over Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours.
It also warned of strong onshore winds from North Westerly direction with speed ranging from 45-55 kmph over Lakshadweep.
