Jaipur, Sep 10 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said reservation to the economically weaker sections among the upper castes could be possible only if the Central Government brings in amendment to the Constitution and urged the people to put pressure on the centre.

The Chief Minister was speaking at function organised on the 'home coming' of Samajik Nyaya Manch convenor Devi Singh Bhatti and other three Indian National Lok Dal(INLD) MLAs in to the party fold here today.

The Chief Minister said the State Government had already announced a commission to study the issues concerning a reservation-regime on economic basis to the poor among the upper castes and said the matter could be settled only by the Centre by brining in amendment to the Constitution.

She castigated the Centre for inaction on the issue and alleged the Congress wants to fish in the troubled waters on the reservation issues. She asked the people to take their fight to Delhi so that their voices were heard by the Central Government. Mrs Raje also alleged discrimination by the UPA govt on said central assistance, while the centre bends backwards to accomodate the wishes of Mayawati. It is playing a partisan role towards the BJP ruled States, she added.
