Udupi, Sep 10 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will decide its future course of action on October three, when coalition partner Janata Dal (Secular) is scheduled to transfer power to it as per their agreement, if the JD(S) failed to honour its commitment, party state president D V Sadananda Gouda said today.

Speaking to newspersons here, he said the party expected the JD(S) to stick to its commitment on transfer of power to the BJP.

Mr Gouda informed that while there was no confusion on the choice of Mr B S Yediyurappa as the party's candidate for the post of Chief Minister, political opponents indulged in sowing the seeds of uncertainty in frustration.

''Mr Yediyurappa will take over the reins of power from the incumbent H D Kumaraswamy as per the agreement reached 20 months ago,'' he said.

The BJP leader maintained that while his party was ready to face any challenge, it was not in favour of imposing mid-term elections as it would burden the state exchequer.
